HONG KONG - USA. 1888 (Oct 20), cover and complete contents written from Yokohama to USA, mailed at Sailor’s Concessionary rate with envelope endorsed at top ‘A. Hall, Stoker, HMS Satellite, China’ and counter-signed by Commanding Officer at left, franked by Hong Kong 1882 2c. rose, slight contemporary fault, tied by ‘Hong Kong’ (code B) c.d.s. (Nov 20). Reverse with ‘New York / Paid All’ transit and arrival. Some envelope wear as to be expected but a very rare usage. (Photo). Est. 300 - 400 CHF.

Smith, Seaman, HMS Leander, Yokohama, Japan’ and counter-signed by Commanding Officer at left, franked by Hong Kong 1882 2c. rose tied by ‘Hong Kong’ c.d.s. Reverse with Ulceby arrival c.d.s. HONG KONG - Germany. 1900 hand painted picture postal stationery card, uprated with 4c QV stamped with private company handstamp- tied by HONG KONG c.d.s., alongside straight line "PER ENGLISH MAIL" handstamp and double circle company date stamp. HONG KONG - Incoming Mail from Aden. 1904 post card, franked on viewside (Inner Harbour) by India 1/2a. green E.VII tied by ADEN c.d.s. on despatch to Shanghai, China struck twice with very fine ‘SINGAPORE. CHINA - British P.O. 1917-20, group of three Hong Kong ‘China’ overprinted covers, minor fault 2c & 10c, showing 16 cent rate from Swatow, registered cover franked by 8c. and 12c. from Canton to USA and 1917 registered cover from ‘Chemins de Fer De L’Etat Chinois / Ligne du Lung Hai’ sent to Holland at 26c. rate Censored,with fine ‘Tientsin B.P.O.’ handstamp. registration in red. very scarce trio. HONG KONG - Incoming Mail from China. 1918 (Feb 11) cover from ‘Azat Le Riz’ to Shanghai, with despatch c.d.s. in black, French Military Censor cachets at left with Reseal missing and stamp area with notation ‘Rec’d, Stamps Missing’ in corner of envelope. Struck in transit with rare framed RECEIVED DAMAGED / AT HONG KONG in black and reverse with ‘Shanghai B.P.O.’ c.d.s. (May 3) and Chinese P.O. arrival c.d.s. One flap missing (of necessity) on reverse but a very rare usage of this instructional handstamp. (Photo). Est. 750 - 900 CHF.

HONG KONG - Yugoslavia. 1925 registered cover to Zagreb, franked with KGV stamps 1c to 50c, all tied by REGISTERED G.P.O. HONG KONG c.d.s. Front shows instruction in manuscript "Per s/s Maloa via Marseilles". On reverse Egyptian transit marks Port-Taufiq and Alexandria, alongside Zagreb arrival c.d.s. Scarce destination. (Photo). (May 27) with triangular PASSED / BY / CENSOR / 120 and reverse showing very rare HEADQUARTERS / SHANGHAI &TIENTSIN AREA / PASSED BY CENSOR handstamp in violet, countersigned by a Lieutenant in ink.
