CHINA - French P.O. - Japan. 1902 cover sent to Japan, franked on reverse with 1c orange C.I.P. strip of five (top stamp corner missing prior to application) all tied by CHINKIANG bilingual c.d.s., Shanghai transit alongside. Cover was underpaid 5c and shows unusual diamond T due mark applied at the front. In manuscript "5 cts" "F(rench).cmes 0,15" and red Japanese boxed due handstamp. Unusual combination of tax marks.
