CHINA (PEOPLE'S REPUBLIC) - North China. 1941-47, TURNED cover, bearing Liberated Area Shansi-Hopei-Shantung-Honan Border Area Eagle Globe $10/5c blue, tied by Potowcheng Apr 6 c.d.s. (Chihsien, Hopei Province) to Tientsin with Tientsin roller cancel for arrival. This cover is a re-use of an old one with North China 50c (issued 1941, withdrawn May '42) tied by 1941 Tientsin c.d.s. to Chihsien. CHINA - Japanese Occupation of North China. 1944, Die III postal cards (2) 4c - 8c, used & uprated Civilian Internee at Weishien Shantung. Postcard rate for April date was 9c and November date was 20c however they were rated 14c & 22 c respectively, perhaps Japanese authorities were demanding extra fees from Internees. CHINA - Yunnan. 1948 registered airmail 'On Postal Service' cover from Yunnan (despatch c.d.s. on registration slip on reverse-torn away) to Nanking. Showing 2 wax seals of the 'Director of Yunnan District Head Post Office' and two Nanking receivers. This is an overprinted 'On Service' cover on the standard domestic envelope sold by the P.O. and is actually an Official Postal Stationery, without postage marking - perhaps should be listed in the Official Postal Stationery of China.
